Virginia Motorsports Park: A lot to see and do for the Motorsports Lover

Virginia Motorsports Park, located in Dinwiddie County Virginia, offers outdoor recreation to those who love motor sports. Whether you have a passion for drag racing, love to see the vehicles getting down and dirty mud bogging, enjoy watching the bikes with motocross, like the power of the truck and tractor pull or want a more hands on approve to get in touch with nature on the ATV trails, Virginia Motorsports Park has something for all to enjoy.

Need to know the upcoming events for July, just take a look.

July 3rd is Friday Night Street Wars. “Street Wars is the perfect opportunity for the adrenaline junky, the occasional speed freak, or the beginner to take their car down the quarter mile. Street Wars is run on Friday nights and offers everyone an opportunity to test their skills on the dragstrip. Whether you want to run your parents station wagon, your brand new car, a restored hot rod, or grudge race your buddy for local bragging rights, VMP's Street Wars is the place for you. Take it off the street and put it on the strip every Friday night at Virginia Motorsports Park”, says the Virginia Motorsports Park website. Friday July 17th is also another Friday Night Street Wars, Street Boss and Cruise In.  If you want to participate in Friday night street wars the schedule is as follows: Gates open at 5 pm, racing begins at 6 pm, Street Boss Qualifying is at 7 pm with the track being secured at 11 pm. The cost to attend for participators are  Street Racer $17, Test & Tune $30 and Street Boss $40. Not into the speed but enjoy watching? The price for spectators in $12 with kids 12 and under free with a paid adult admission.

July  11 and 12, the Virginia Motorsports Park is home to the Virginia Mid-Summer Bike Bash. Spectators Pricing is as follows: Advanced (1 Day) $15, Advanced (2 Day)  $25,  1 Day Spectator $20, 2 Day Spectator $30 and Children 12 & Under. Some of the activities may not be suitable for all spectators. Some family friendly activities  include Jason Britton, the host of Super Bikes, Larry ‘Spider Man’ McBride, a Huge Bike Show in July 11th with a Bangin’ Car and Truck Show on July 12th, Stunt Warz will be going on both days, and so much more that it can’t be listed here. Saturday July 18th is the North vs. South Summertime Boogie Down.  The pricing for this amayzing event is as follows: Spectators Admission is Adult for $17 with a fee of $5 for parking and children 12 and under free with a paid adult. Not a spectator and need to get hands on? For participants, Entry Fees are: Test & Tune $35, No Time Tech Card $50 and Quick 16 is $100.

July 24th and 25th Virginia Motorsports Park is home to the National Guard ADRL. For more details visit their website at www.adrl.us.

The last event for July is on July 31st. It is the Friday Night Street Wars and Ladies Night. “VMP is back at it again, doing it for the ladies on Friday July 31st with its third Ladies Night of the 2009 season. All ladies will receive free admission to an action packed night of racing, music and partying. In addition to VMP’s “Friday Night Street Wars” will be the High Roller Match Races featuring no holds barred heads up racing.  DJ Eric will be in the midway throwing down the hottest new jams. Spectator parking inside the gate is only $3 but space will be limited so get here early to avoid the long walk.  It's the best Friday night party in Central Virginia!!!”
